In short: Technical corrigendum to EU Implementing Regulation 2025/2055, which sets out the procedures of the Dublin system for determining which EU Member State is responsible for examining an asylum application; published in the Official Journal of the EU on 11 June 2026.
The European Commission published on 11 June 2026 a corrigendum to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2055, adopted on 2 October 2025, implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1351 on asylum and migration management.
The corrigendum updates terminology across several Annexes and articles: «volver a acoger» becomes «readmitir» (readmit); «presencia jurídica» becomes «presencia legal» (legal presence); «solicitud de revisión» becomes «petición de reexamen» (request for reconsideration). Forms in Annexes I–XI used for Dublin transfers between Member States are also corrected, including sections on unaccompanied minors, family members and dependent persons.
This correction does not change the rights or timelines of applicants for international protection. The Dublin procedure determines which EU country examines your application. If you have an open asylum case in Spain, no action is required on your part as a result of this corrigendum.
