In short: Spain's Directorate General for Migration Management has launched a 2026 call for €20.3 million in grants (mainly co-financed by the EU's FAMI fund) for non-governmental organisations running projects in defence of the human rights of foreigners living in Spain.
In person or by representative? This call is for legal entities (NGOs) only. Individual migrants cannot apply.
Who can apply: NGOs meeting the conditions of Article 4 of Orden ISM/810/2023: national scope, non-profit (or with full reinvestment of profits), incorporated at least two years before publication, with adequate financial solvency and proper accountability for prior grants.
What is funded:
- Awareness-raising projects on racism, xenophobia and hate crimes.
- Prevention of racism and xenophobia.
- Projects supporting victims of human trafficking within the migrant community.
- Projects supporting victims of gender-based violence among migrants.
- Advisory projects for vulnerable migrant groups.
- Facility adaptation and equipment (€300,000 from national budget).
Total budget: €20.3 million — €20 million from FAMI and €300,000 from the Spanish national budget. This is the total call amount, not a per-organisation or per-person figure.
Application deadline: 10 working days from the day after publication of the extract in the BOE (published 19 June 2026).
